Eliphene Cadet, Aigle Noir's young striker made a name for himself last season with a display of speed and technique that caused many fans to dream about a better performance from Haiti at the international level. In Haiti's last Gold Cup qualification attempt Eliphene Cadet scored the lone goal coming off the bench in Haiti's 1:0 victory over St Kitts and Nevis (SKN) 1st leg, 12/12/2004: Fort Lauderdale, Florida USA; Lockhart Stadium and scored again in the return leg to help Haiti advance to the 3rd round of the Caribbean Football Union (CFU) qualifiers. In the next round Eliphene Cadet scored ( 59' )in the second leg game against Cuba to send the game to extra time, but with 8 minutes left to a penalty shootout, Cuba's Yernier Marquez equalized ( 112' ) to send Cuba to the Gold Cup. Cuba knocked out Haiti by a 2:1 aggregate over two legs.

Injuries kept the young striker off the scoring board for the first half of Ouverture 2005-06 and many jumped on the bandwagon of Racing des Gonaives strikers Clercant Clerjuste and Antonio Despinasse. Nevertheless the young eagle returned in full force with three goals in the last three matches and appeared to have found an equally talented strike partner in Prophete Evens. Aigle Noir (Click on team's name to see team's page) has 4 remaining games against US Freres, Racing Club Haitien, Baltimore SC and Cavaly and will look for a strong finish in the Ouverture 2005-06 serie.
