The Long Island Rough Riders, members of professional soccer?s USL 2nd Division, have re-signed one of the club leading scorer from last year ? forwards Derrick Etienne (9 goals) and returning to the Rough Riders after a one-year absence is midfield/defender Darrell Etienne, twin brother of Derrick.

The 31 year-old Etienne twins, natives of Nyack, NY, are being reunited this season on the Rough Riders. Both had played at Virginia Commonwealth University for three years and then joined the Richmond Kickers (1998-2001). Both brothers played an integral part of the Rough Riders 2002 Championship team. Derrick scored the final?s game-winning goal and earned MVP honors. His form carried over to the 2003 season when he was named to the ?All League? Team. He has been the team?s leading scorer the past four seasons, including 11 goals in 2004 (18 appearances) and 9 goals and 2 assists in 20 games last year. Darrell did not play during the 2005 season, but is looking to return to the form that earned him All-League honors while with Richmond. Both brothers have been members of the Haitian National Team since 2000.
