| Green tea and stomach cancer
Green tea originates from China and has become associated with many cultures in Asia from Japan to the Middle East. But I find it rather peculiar that thirty-eight percent of the world’s stomach cancer cases occur in China, and it is the most frequent cancer in males in other parts of East Asia. Age standardized incidence rates (ASRs) are the highest in the world in Japan (77.9 per 100,000 in men; 33.3 in women).
