Jennifer has become one of the youngest Canadian women ever to qualify a spot in the Olympics. She accomplished this exploit at the 2008 FINA World Cup taking place at the Beijing Olympic pool. In her second year on the senior national team, Jennifer has been hauling in medals on a regular basis despite the fact that she is still of age to compete in juniors. Just 16 years old, Abel already has 15 national and international medals.
At the 2008 Winter Senior Nationals Jennifer climbed to the top of the podium for the first time at the senior level, her first national title.
In 2006, at the Speedo Junior Nationals, Jennifer broke the Canadian record on 10M and qualified for the FINA World Junior Championships. In Malaysia, at the world championships, Jennifer won the bronze medal on 3M, one of three Canadian medals
When she is not busy training, Jennifer enjoys spending time with her friends and going to the movies.
