Currently Haiti is in desperate need of financial AID as well as technological know how from wealthier and more advanced countries. However, this is not a catch-all, Haiti cannot keep relying on this AID to continue for ever. If the nation is to survive and strive, then it must implement policies that will make it, self sufficient. Other smaller and independent nations have managed to do just that and I think so can Haiti. The thing they have to do is to eliminate the custom of dependency on other nations. There is always strings attached when it comes to this so called AID.
