Smile Keep both languages

Hello all,
I think it is critical for Haiti to keep French as part of its national language. So many Haitians migrate out of the country. How is knowing only Creole going to help them when they travel or move abroad? Also, it was suggested above that all Haitian children learn at least 4 different languages. As this is a nice thought, can we really expect this? They are having difficulties just keeping up with two. I would love to see the education system in Haiti change. There is such a large gap between the classes of people -- some children get to go to good schools, some in bad schools and many not attending school at all. I was so surprised during my last recent trip to Haiti to see that many young children were just ?hanging out? during normal school hours. It was pretty sad. Well, I don?t want to bring anyone down. I still have great hopes for the country and I know that one way for the country to escape many of its hardships is through education.
Peace
