I do not profess to have all the answers to the problems Haiti faces. God only knows they are many and complex. But I do believe that the root to many of the problems Haiti faces is greed. Starting with the slave holders of the past up to the present slave holders. Haiti is plainly a pawn in a big game of chess. The poor, being manipulated and sacrificed by the economic elite, have little chance to pull themselves out of their situation. It is hard to do what you know in your heart is right, when you have an empty stomach. The rich want to stay that way and it is easy to sway a people who have nothing. I should not say nothing. I'm sorry. If not anything else, most Haitians I know have great pride. Unfortunatly, the professional players of this chess game know how to manipulate that to.
