Bermudad Sports Year in Review
Khano Smith ended the season on a high, playing a key role in New England Revolution's run through the play-offs to the final. Smith, who had sat out most of the season injured, set up the goal in the MLS Cup final as the Revs drew 1-1 with Houston Dynamo. Unfortunately Smith didn't get a chance to take a spot kick as the Revs lost out on penalties.
Bermuda finished third in its Digicel Cup Second Round grouping after beating Bahamas, losing to St Vincent and drawing with Barbados. John Barry Nusum, Kwame Steede and Khano Smith were influential for Bermuda as they secure third spot and a place in the play-off group ahead of the finals in January
Bermuda Football Association was granted the chance to host the next round - only to have to announce days later that it would not happen. Their opponents Haiti and Dominican Republic claimed they could not get transit visas for their players to travel through the States and the three-way tournament was rescheduled for Trinidad in January.
