I certainly believe its too early to predict which candidate will be best or the party's? choice. This week-end only 2 democrats candidates had announced their intention to run, Sen. Hillary Clinton of NY and Gov. Bill Richardson of New Mexico ex-ambassador to the UN under Bill Clinton; Obama last month; James Edwards made his announcement couple weeks ago, there is still more to come. We still have to wait and learn more about all the candidates. A simple announcement is not enough to make up your mind or even to forecast the next presidential nomination for the democratic party.
As for my choice, idem.
I?m even looking on the Republican party. I liked McCain (Rep. Arch conservator) a lot in 2000, and I would back him up again with (a rather liberal) good choice vice president but certainly not Rudolph Giuliani (Lib. Rep., ex-New York mayor).
