I totally agree. As we say in Creole:”Si ou bese do’w, yap met pye sou li”. Although I admire the FHF for doing so much with so little financial resources, I do however wish they had more guts. We should have sent a message to T&T when they prevented some of our players from entering their country (If this was true). Was it psychological warfare or was it arrogance and prejudice? I do not imagine any other country accepting such humiliation. It was just a friendly game; we did not have to go. As soon as the game started, I realized the Haitian NT had everything to lose. From the public who applauded the bestiality of the T&T players, to the referees who decided that T&T had to win, nobody in that stadium hid their intense dislike for us. The psychological intimidation continued. I think we are lucky that our players did not seriously get hurt. Listening to the game, my blood boiling, I kept wondering why we did not abandon the field sending them the expression of our discontent. VIVE HAITI | |
