in order to understand my point, you would need to have some finesse and some notion of world economy, oil prices, recession and a madman that cannot be controlled and proved to be a major destabilizer.
No one wants to see 20.00 at the gaz station. The Iraqis had a problem, we had one. Now the Iraqis need to figure it out themselves. We offered to help, they prefer to bomb themselves.

Get your dignity taken away because G.I.'s must now search your ass everywhere you go.

This is Iraq. Would have happened no matter what. And you know what? Perhaps the American presence is making it lesser than it could be.
