Short and simple: Men are superior to women. Women are to be controlled, whether through violence or fear.
Something has to make them feel superior, when the only difference between humans and animals is the ability to choose. and to think a person would choose to commit to an act of violence or instill fear. Yeah something really to brag about.
IV/15: (to women) If any one of your women is guilty of lewdness ... confine them until death claims them.
