Live and Let Live
If the woman being led by the leash does feel that she is being "victimized" by her fiancé, then who is the bus driver to chastise her. Only the one above is judge. Everyone should be able to live their lives as they chose. As long as they are happy with it and it does not impede on anybody else, let them be. Think about it, how many of us had a boyfriend or girlfriend that our parents couldn't stand? And we dated them anyway? We said we did it because they made us "happy". Well, hell she's happy. Being on a leash isn't' bothering anybody. Unless they got on the bus and the leash stretched pass someone else they weren't bothering anybody. That's just like what's the difference between a bitch and a person who is bitchy? The difference is the same difference from being an actual dog and acting like one.
The fact that the bus driver prevented her from getting on the bus, was discriminatory. "In general, discrimination is the discernment of qualities and rejection of people or things with undesirable qualities" The fact that he made those additive comments is what makes it a hate crime.
Ti Cam, I agree with you, it is comical, but believe me when I tell you, for some, this really is a lifestyle where there are enough people doing this to make this behavior, socially acceptable for their new found culture and society.
