Keep your voice down

Using capital letters on the internet is equivalent to screaming. Instead, use asterisks around the text to be emphasized.

Be succinct - Keep it short

Use net abbreviations whenever possible. Use Net-cronyms.

Don?t post ads, chain letters or business offers unless the group or bulletin board was created for that purpose.

Stick to the topic

When entering an ongoing discussin, don?t change the subject.

Respect Forum and Newsgroup norms and mores. Observe before you participate.

Flaming

Personal attacks in cyberspace can be particularly vicious. Flaming is the rather nasty art of attacking others on a personal level. Vulgarity and insults are not overly clever. Choose your words carefully, describe your ideas intelligently, and, if you do end up offending someone, say you?re sorry.

First this little insect who wants to make noises like a lion wants to drop the atomic bomb on Haiti.

Then he has the extreme desire to be among Haitians by coming on this site.

He claims that he hates Haiti and Haitians because they murdered his mother in Petion Ville where he grew up. While we feel sorry for his lost, that does not give him the right to behave like a zenglendo. Do we have typical case of the Stockholm syndrom here? Obviously this moron must have some kind of relationship with the Haitian mob.

Thank you TiCam for posting those basics rules of good behavior. I never thought of doing so, sort of taking it for granted that everyone knew about them. Obviously that was not the case.
