Jesus spoke to them again in parables, saying: "The kingdom of heaven is like a king who prepared a wedding banquet for his son. He sent his servants to those who had been invited to the banquet to tell them to come, but they refused to come.

"Then he sent some more servants and said, 'Tell those who have been invited that I have prepared my dinner: My oxen and fattened cattle have been butchered, and everything is ready. Come to the wedding banquet.'

"But they paid no attention and went off - one to his field, another to his business. The rest seized his servants, mistreated them and killed them. The king was enraged. He sent his army and destroyed those murderers and burned their city.

"Then he said to his servants, 'The wedding banquet is ready, but those I invited did not deserve to come. Go to the street corners and invite to the banquet anyone you find.' So the servants went out into the streets and gathered all the people they could find, both good and bad, and the wedding hall was filled with guests.

"But when the king came in to see the guests, he noticed a man there who was not wearing wedding clothes. 'Friend,' he asked, 'how did you get in here without wedding clothes?' The man was speechless.

"Then the king told the attendants, 'Tie him hand and foot, and throw him outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.'

"For many are invited, but few are chosen."

With the exception of one person, all were wearing their wedding clothes. One person was not equal.

Al, in my opinion, it is not a matter of being equal because Jesus explicitly includes all, the poor, the crippled, the blind, the lame, the marginal even the sinners; but to me it is rather a matter of exclusion. Even though everyone can be saved because Jesus died for us, however, we should not take that for granted like living a "christian life" on our own selfish term.

I try to live a christian life with my sins which are inane in me but I recognize that I am a sinner with a true broken and contrite heart...

Psalm 51

A broken and contrite heart

"Be gracious to me, O God, according to Thy lovingkindness; According to the greatness of Thy compassion blot out my transgressions.

2 Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, And cleanse me from my sin.

3 For I know my transgressions, And my sin is ever before me.

4 Against Thee, Thee only, I have sinned, And done what is evil in Thy sight, So that Thou art justified when Thou dost speak, And blameless when Thou dost judge.

5 Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, And in sin my mother conceived me.

6 Behold, Thou dost desire truth in the innermost being, And in the hidden part Thou wilt make me know wisdom.

7 Purify me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

8 Make me to hear joy and gladness, Let the bones which Thou hast broken rejoice.

9 Hide Thy face from my sins, And blot out all my iniquities.

10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, And renew a steadfast spirit within me.

11 Do not cast me away from Thy presence, And do not take Thy Holy Spirit from me.

12 Restore to me the joy of Thy salvation, And sustain me with a willing spirit.

13 Then I will teach transgressors Thy ways, And sinners will be converted to Thee.

14 Deliver me from bloodguiltness, O God, Thou God of my salvation; Then my tongue will joyfully sing of Thy righteousness.

15 O Lord, open my lips, That my mouth may declare Thy praise.

16 For Thou dost not delight in sacrifice, otherwise I would give it; Thou art not pleased with burnt offering.

17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; A broken and a contrite heart, O God, Thou wilt not despise.

18 By Thy favor do good to Zion; Build the walls of Jerusalem.

19 Then Thou wilt delight in righteous sacrifices, In burnt offering and whole burnt offering; Then young bulls will be offered on Thine altar.

Nous sommes tous des pécheurs, et la Bible dit : « Le juste lui même pèche sept fois par jour » et je ne suis pas un "juste"
