Did you know that in Syracuse there is an island name Haiti Island?

I was so surprised to read that news from Syracuse, I think you should read it too.

Town of Mentz, Cayuga County (WSYR-TV) - State Police say the Haiti Road Bridge in the Town of Mentz is closed to cars. The bridge goes over the Seneca River, and connects Haiti Island to Haiti Road. The deck of the only bridge to Haiti Island in the Seneca River collapsed this weekend.

The state DOT inspected the bridge, and they say it's unsafe due to deterioration.

Cayuga County and Town of Mentz authorities are working on a plan to connect the 60 island residents to Haiti Road.
