What this has to do with White or Black? Besides last time I checked, Snipes was still black.
So you want to make such an important movie just for the Brooklyn crowd? Who cares about Jimmy What's his name, except the few haitians who can afford to go to the movies? Until today I never heard of that name. So I should jump because he is Haitian?
When I go to the movies, I don't go for support, I go for entertainment.
We are talking about a name that everyone knows with Snipes. A name that has a history of attracting crowds with blockbusters.
Your argument would have more weight if you had said to give the part to Wyclef. He sells. | | | | |

Snipes & Jimmy are black, so ...... My Comment about black actor or movie was in references as to what you are willing to go out of our way to support and what we are skeptical to support ..

as in Regard to name for a Blockbuster ... I mean when they made the movie Hotel Rwanda with Don Cheadle ... . Don Cheadle must have been a blockbuster name when they made this movie and the movie got nominated for 3 oscars ............Movie gross 34 million Dollars worldwide

I don't agree with you Bana, it has to do on how much was or will be done for authenticy in this movie. You don't hire a haitian actor to prove the authenticy of the movie. You hire good writers, good actors you have to be a good director to do that; for the authenticity to the movie has to do with the story itself, not by who to choose to play the role. An actor is a fake, that's what a good actor does, he makes you believe that he is something, someone that he is not and Snipes can do it, he's a good actor.
By the way who told you that the movie will be in creole and french? | | | | | TiCam - Who told you that Toussaint Louverture History is not creole/French?
You could agree or disagree with me - TiCam ... Thats fine ....
An actor job is too project the good writing and good directing of a movie...
TiCam - I don't need you to explian to me what an actor does .. I never said Snipes was not a good actor ... he may be good for somebody else movie, but not for Toussaint movie ... I don't think Snipes is the right lead actor for the role ... thats my opinion .... | |
