Jhon Clark Parent was born in the 80s in Petion-Ville, Haiti. He permanently moved to New York in the 90s to pursue his education. Coming from a musical family, music imprintsdeeply on his soul. He started to learn the guitar at the age of eleven. After achieving greatmusical skills, he began to perform his songs with musician friends in school and at local nightclubs.
Some of the schools are: Ditmas Junior High 62, Erasmus Hall High School, MedgaEvers College, CityTech. He participated in two Reggae Compas record as a producer, singerand guitarist in a band called ?Black Parents?. He sang ?Get 9?, a movie sound track of ananimation film in Japan called ?Ghost in the Shell 2?. But, Jhon Clark didn?t stop there.
He has met with Alan Cave who asked him to be partof his new label, AC RECORDS. Since Alan is a well known Haitian star, he did accept theinvitation to record his first Compas album, ?My Creole Chapter?.
This album consists of ninesongs which are written and produced by Jhon Clark himself. He chose this album title becausehe has not revealed many other sides of his talent to the world.
He has many lyrics written in English and French on different musical genres as Hip Hop, Reggae and Rock that have notbeen recorded. But, his focus is on this new album. From this album, ?TASHOO? is alreadyout for airplay and has a great music video directed by Zahra Cabañas. Jhon Clark has been getting ready for live performances with a band he confounded with his college buddy, Jean L. Jean Phillip.
The band is consisted of six members, howeverthe name of the band can not be revealed now until they complete all legal paperwork. Jhon Clark and the band had already made three appearances: the Surf Bar in Williamsburg, BMCCand CLUB A for Alan?s birthday party. Many people who attended the shows were veryimpressed.
Fortunately, all members of the band have accepted to back up Jhon Clark?s solocareer; they are ready to go on tour and give 120% in every live performance.?My Creole Chapter? is all set. It is a gift to every fan of great Creole music from JhonClark and to the new Haitian generation. The evolution of Compas is proven here.
