After the game, we went to party in Brazilian territory, right here in the Ironbound section of Newark, New Jersey.
Samba drums overtook the streets, followed by ten of thousands soccer crazy, eager to scream their joy and spend their tension away.
Cars and trucks by the loads crowded the ways, honking their horns, creating an atmosphere of pandemonium.
The police were aghast; few of them understood what exactly was going on. Most had never heard of such joyful fury outside of a people's revolution.
That was soccer; that was football. That is the way it celebrates. That was party time...
