Surely we have better days ahead of us despite our many disagreements . Besides , haitiwebs have a censor walking around with a big automatic stick . Shucks . I wonder whether the days of our fun fights are going to be forever gone . aw5 |

I am proud that we have reached ? the understanding? that it is in everyone?s and country's interest that we all get alone while having differences of opinion. This is where President Aristide faltered. This is where Defacto Latortue will falter and Defacto Gousse will find himself behind bars for thinking that he is always right and no one else.
I am not always interested in someone who will say what I already know or agree with. I am more interested in someone with a different point of view because I always end up learning something new.
It definitely requires that we guard against deceit and this is not by wanting harm on the other person but to educate them. Must of the time, the person being deceitful does not know he/she is being so. It seems to be a natural impulse. The only way to denounce such mantra is to educate the board by being informative as you are being. Regardless of where the mantra is coming from, as long as it is blurred by fanaticism, it will seem to be imposed on our conscience as truth.
You, Mr. VampireSlayer, have been promoted as a leader on this site without maybe even realizing it. Many people on the other side of the political aisle seem to be emulating you.
I admire that very much. Unlike some, I do not see the rise to prominence of another as a threat to my livelihood. We Haïtians must start to think that way in order for Haïti to progress in the right direction and survive the 21st century. We have to stop acting like a bunch of crabs in a basket to be cooked. Instead of helping one another escape the boiling water by helping each other climb to the edge of the basket, we keep pulling each other down. Pase pranm, ma pase chèche?w.
I am sure the other side of the political spectrum has recognized its mistakes and is ready to remedy them unless confronted by a fight for survival.
I was talking to a good friend of mine this weekend and he asked me a political question. Just before I could finish my answer, he decided to tell me how we could change Haïti?s chimère problem and this is by getting raid of human right all together and disintegrating LaSaline with everyone in it. I asked him if he wanted to be like Hitler. I told him having the thought of such a thing could possibly give him the worse of luck in his life and if not him his son or daughter.

If we were having this conversation on a table, I would have gotten up and shook your hands and thank you. If the table was huge, I would walk around it to do so.
Thus the slogan ?yon sèl dwèt pa manje kalalou?. Both concerned groups are saying the same thing but are not willing to talk about how we get there. Education of the people of Haïti is a must and first priority for Haïti and all her children to be what she and they could be.
I am weary of fanaticism on any side even when I may like what someone may stand for.
It is an insult to me to see a country, which lacks educational edifices, have foreign troops occupy a newly built University as a lodging place. This is crawling under my skin. I see no logic in this but a way to insult us as a whole. There is no partisanship for me when it comes to the betterment of Haïti.
For me, Haitiweb needs not worry about censoring me. I am glad that it does now to bring some civility on this site especially when I know full well that some people are not even Haïtian but stirring us up to hate one another for no apparent reasons.
Great day to you my Haïtian brother!
