Indeed Yves Engler's action tells me there is hope for CANADA.
Because, for all the reasons we know, the lies of Pettigrew and company
that Yves has so dramatically put in focus had engulfed the Canadian
press and confused the population.
But, I can tell you from first hand experience that there is a growing
number of Canadians of all ages and ideological persuations who are
awakening to the fact that indeed, the blood of innocent people of
Haiti stains the hands of Canadian elected officials.
We are experiencing right here in Canada, through he Haiti Solidarity
movement, a growing connection between honest people of European
descent and honest Pan-African activists who refuse to support the
racist foreign policy that Canada has been following in recent decades.
Yves' was not the action of an isolated individual who has a vendetta
against Pettigrew, as they first attempted to describe it in the
imbedded media. In addition to having taken the trip to Haiti, to study
first-hand the socio-economic and political Apartheid that Canadian
policy is helping to nurture in Haiti, Yves is well engaged with the
Haitian-Canadian community and he certainly has an acute sense of duty
to make Canada better.
Amazingly, the Struggle of the disemfrenchised in Haiti, and in Canada
has met in this faithful year 2004. With Yves Engler, I recently spoke
in Guelph to an audience of conservative people of good will and, as
always, we were pleasantly suprised to see how, when the bare facts
were laid in front of people they responded with humanity and courage.
Writing to their elected officials, demanding the release of political
prisoners in Haiti and a transformation of Canada's wicked Haiti
policy.
The connection with the First Nations people of Canada whose land was
stolen from them is also growing. So, you can expect the Canada Haiti
Solidarity network to be on the growth. This is a season of awakening.
Tonight at 7 pm. listen to a french interview Yves Engler live at
www.ckcufm.com. I will speak with him briefly but you will also hear
members of Haiti's puppet government: Mrs. Coicou, Mr. Abraham, Mr.
Henri Bazin and one of the puppeteers, Mr. Pierre Pettigrew.
We will likely open the lines for questions: To participate dial (613)
