H.A.V.U. HAITIAN AMERICAN VOTERS UNIFIED OF FLORIDA, INC. is a Community base Organization created with the purpose of helping the Haitian Community protect their civil rights by increasing their knowledge and participation in the electoral process of the United States.

WHY DO WE NEED HAVU?

The Haitian community is the second largest ethnic group in the state of Florida, but we are treated as a weak minority in this society. As voters and taxpayers it is time that we pull our political resources together in order to gain respect as a sizable voting group. The way we have been treated is probably due to our passivity as a socio-political entity, therefore we need to unify our voices and recognize the need to participate in every election . Those of us who are not yet become citizens need to step forward, engage in that process and add their vote to our strength.

We strongly encourage you to take part of this initiative, not only for you as individual, but for a better future for our children and our community. We are hopeful and confident you can do it.

WHAT DOES HAVU OFFER?

_We will offer Low cost Immigration Services

_ FREE Family Counseling, _Youth Counseling, Financial Advise, Abuse prevention

_Orientation to enroll in the Selective Service System and prevention to delinquency .

_After School program and _sport activities,

_recreational activities for elders and youth in a separate setting up and time.
