Its spring time! Crocus, daffodils and other flowers we planted last fall are coming out nicely in full bloom leaving behind a most wonderful fragrance. The other day I even saw a rabbit coming out under a tree looking forward for warm weather days. Its spring time, it is also Easter time this week-end, the most important holiday for Christians around the world.
The meaning of Easter is Jesus Christ's victory over death. His resurrection symbolizes the eternal life that is granted to all who believe in Him. The meaning of Easter also symbolizes the complete verification of all that Jesus preached and taught during His three-year ministry. If He had not risen from the dead, if He had merely died and not been resurrected, He would have been considered just another teacher or Rabbi. However, His resurrection changed all that and gave final and irrefutable proof that He was really the Son of God and that He had conquered death once and for all.
With God's help let us all commit ourselves to the wise use of our time, talent and treasure to grow in Jesus Christ and to strengthen, promote and extend a community of justice, love and peace. And may the Spirit of the Prince of Peace reign supreme in your hearts, your home and in our world.
