Light refreshments will be served. *** Dr. Claude Moise is a historian and a speaker; the author of several books, including, Constitutions and Power Struggles in Haiti (2 volumes), From the American Occupation to the Duvalier Regime, To Rethink Haiti : Greatness and Misery of a Democratic Movement, The National Project of Toussaint Louverture. He has lived many years in Canada, was one of the organizers of the National Committee of Remembrance of the Bicentenary of the Haitian Independence in 2004, and was recently called by the then president-elect, René Préval to submit to the new Haitian parliament a proposition of Constitutional Reform.
