I am addressing in particular an email from someone calling Foley a fag and a threat to young haitians if he were not to resign. I found this a sad stereotype and and bit off the point in question.
Perhaps Mr. Foley did something wrong, however, the bill is what could bring hope to a country. Stereotyping leads to repression and if this is the frame of mind, most likely the person who's opinion I received would always categorize people. This doesn't leave much room for diversity and successfully moving forward unless you're willing to accept others opinions, religions, beliefs. Share them and not criticize them
As for the threat, I find it hardly unlikely that a high profile politician once caught and resigning poses any physical threat to young Haitians. He'll be suffering low key for a long time much less welcomed to Haiti.
Furthermore, it was an internet scandal. The boy was on obviously frequently enough for this to caught. Where were the parents? They are often so quick to place the blame on others as they don't monitor their kids use online. Very easy to point fingers and decide someone is a certain way. Unfortunatley, this is scarey if your kids grow up to have different preferences in partners....sex, race, culture, religion. Doesn't exactly enforce a world to move forward.
Sorry if I stepped on any toes.
