Unhappy Politics vs morality

Hi Again,
I just joined this site. However seeing that I've gotten involved in a debate about morality when I was just supporting an exceptional political oppotunity....I'm not enjoying it here.
I just happened to reply to a request for a letter.
I'm here to meet people and chat about everything. In fact, I came on to mend a broken soul as my husband who is Haitian was denied a visa to immigrate to Canada last week. It's been a 2 year wait and I've been involved with him over 10 years. I'm sad and frustrated and am now planning to try to make the move to live there.
Wanted to make new contacts through this site not enemies. I also don't like the tunnel vision I note of some people's views. I've always been taught we're all children of God and to love each other equally. Wish others could share that. Desperate housewife, krisanne

A post is a debate about all points of view ....
its not the fact you agree or disagree with the person ... its just a differences of an opinion ...
We alll have different point of view with Family members, Thoses that mean that you will never talk or speak to them again ..

Wink any other news?

Well....I guess this is a site more for political forums. That's important and I value that. I also respect all opinions as they are free even if I may not agree.
As for another comment I received about family. I may have different views but will never discard my family over something as opininions. My God....if we did that we wouldnt have not only family at risk but friends as well to lose.
I hope you all have a good evening and re evaluate your spouses/ family and friends. You do something radical and they may be the your only support system. They aren't your friends is they can't accept your views and exchange theirs. Krisanne

As a moderator I found you to be rude and impatient. The guy made a brief comment addressed to Karizmua to correct a point. As far as I can see, it is you who disrupted that post by dwelling into that comment. Had you said nothing and ignored it like you should have done, this post would never has gone off tracks. Instead you opted to aggravate the guy, aggravate grison or anyone against your views and I see that this has been your pattern on all your replies: People must agree with you... or....
I would advise for you to cool down, and realize that the position of moderator is one of tolerance and not verbal abuses.
That is a minimum to ask of you. Let's see if you cannot be a makout here.

Here is exact comment in Creole from Tileanjzl.....and I'm the one that dwell into it . .. Pale pawol yo bien. Foley resigned paske yo bare misye nan ma-si-si nan bonda timoun.
There is no pattern in my reply .. You make a point and I make one .. You are in title to your point of view, just as I'm entitle to mind ..
What verbal abuse are talking about ... angegardian ...
So somebody says something ignorant and we are suppose to go .... hahaha ..wait to go ..
I'm the one defending the point about this post is about a Haitian bill in Congress .. not his sexual preferences ... and You are asking me to be tolerant ....
Stick to the point of the post (Haitian Bill) not takes us to somewhere that has nothing to do with what we are talking about
Like you said .Angele .. I'm a moderator .. if I didn't beleived in people to express their own point of view ... I would've just delete it

I made the correction on the original post. I didn't sent out a form because it requires a lot in order to make it more formal. I don't know how long it would take to get a reply from the Haitian Embassy. I thought that this is something that people here would like to help promote, but some of us here are more into the man's personal life than the Act.
IMPORTANT:
If what you're going to write has nothing to do with the promotion of the Haiti Act, please refrain from replying to this post. Thank you!

Mark Foley

I have just joined this arena of opnionated people. Glad to see individuals speaking up. I'm not here to dirupt anything. If you check my profile I'm just a Canadian teacher who likes to see oppotunity and success.
I'm not here to disrupt anyone's lives. Please I've got my own life to deal with. I just wanted to meet nice people. Optimistic and hopeful types and share stories and that. So much for that expectation here. Everyone seems angry!! Krisanne

Okay, below you'll find the letter. 2 ways you can spread the word:
1. send this link to someone and hopefully they'll register on haitiwebs.com
2. copy and paste the original post, attached the letter in an email then forward it to your everyone on your address book.
The following is the site with names and websites of all the representatives http://www.house.gov/house/MemberWWW.shtml
Monday October 9, 2006
United State House of Representatives
Washington D.C. 20515
(202) 224-3121
H.R. 611: Haiti Economic and Infrastructure Reconstruction Act
Dear Representatives:
This letter is being submitted in support of the Haiti Economic and Infrastructure Reconstruction Act. You have been given a window of opportunity to enrich the lives of a Nation; the opportunity entails bringing back educated successful Haitians living in the U.S. to serve as guides, teachers, role models, not to mention a much needed inspiration for the future.
Any attempt to reduce brain drain and stimulate the development of Haiti by encouraging professionals to go to Haiti would be vital. To finally have our own people return to offer educational training and tools to improve and attract youth into professions they may have never even dreamed of is profoundly wonderful. Imagine the country having this enthusiasm and perhaps a new way of life for many, how it could increasingly improve over time?
As Haitian-Americans, we are depending on you, our legislators to help creating a brighter future for Haiti by passing this Act. We hope that the House will demonstrate enough support for the bill that the vast majority of Haitians supports. The bill is believed by us to hold the most promise for helping Haiti reduce the high rate of illiteracy that strikes millions of Haitians. Please, be advised that we are solely advocating for the approval of this Act.
Sincerely,
_________
