Mark Foley's Haiti Bill

Mark Foley (R-Fort Pierce) was working on a project that we found to be quite ambitious. The plan he had in mind for Haiti was very large in scope and would make a difference in the lives of many young Haitians. He was pushing for a bill that would be in favor of recruiting professional Haitian-Americans or Professionals of Haitian descent living in the USA to go back to Haiti and provide training in their fields to the people of Haiti. They would receive a salary and could be asked to stay for up to three years.
Now, that Mr. Foley has resigned as a member of congress, we want to make sure the good idea of helping Haiti doesn't fall through the cracks. As long as the Bill is out there we can still get it to pass; we have to work harder to make sure it goes all the way to chain of commands.
Please, be advised that we are solely advocating for the approval of this Act.
If this bill is executed, a whole new way of life could be laid out for our Nation. Please, be proactive and get involved!!! Start typing, use your pens, pencils and write!!!!

On page 4 of this post you will find a letter that you can use (Add your organization logo on it – if you have one) if not you can send it just like that to congress.

Thumbs up Mark Foley

Sounds like you need as many people to get out there. If I was an American citizen I would definetely be writing letters. There's power in volume.
Hopefully Mr. Foley's reputation won't stand in the way of what's been started.
That would be a wonderful opportunity for Haitians and one that would provide some role models who show Haitians can succeed. Promising if passed and moreover executed!
Krisanne

Krisanne,
Thank you for the reply. Even though you're not an American Citizen, if writing a letter is how you can contribute, please feel free to submit one. I will greatly appreciate it. We can even post it here as a sample letter.
By the way, warm welcome to haitiwebs.com

Talking Writing a lette

Hi!
I will in fact write a letter. I'm going to be busy for the rest of the day as it's Thanksgiving here in Canada. However, consider it done. I just hope once I compose it you can help me as a novice here in posting it as a sample. I'm always in when supporting a positive cause.
Sincerely, Krisanne

Hello Karizimua,
Can I compose a letter here that you can use? I don't want to write one in vain only to find out I've put it in the wrong place. Getting slowly familiar with the site.

Mark Foley's Haiti Bill

Dear People,
To all of you who are concerned about the economy and having an infrastructure maintained and engined by your own population, it's time to take action. You're being given an window of opportunity by the bill Mr. Foley passed to enrich the lives of your youth and nation.
The opportunity entails bringing back educated successful Haitians living in the U.S. to serve as guides, teachers, role models not to mention a much needed inspiration for the future.
The potential here to have them want to come back because funding has been granted and they are not foreigners is tremendous. To finally have your own people return and offer educational training and tools to improve and attract youth into professions they may never even dream of is profoundly wonderful.
Imagine your country having this enthusiasm and perhaps a new way of life for many, how it could increasingly improve over time. You MUST NOT sit back and dream about this possibility. Take a few minutes and write a letter of support to the legislation. It doesn't have to be a long letter, just show your support. Power is in volume and you have a huge population both in Haiti and the US.
If this bill is executed a whole new way of life is laid out before you. So DON'T just sit there, get a pen, pencil or crayon and write!!!! Krisanne
In light of the accusations against Mr. Foley, I don't see the relationship with his personal behavior and what he proposed to do politically to aid Haiti. Please recognize that I'm not advocating his behavior but his political actions.
No offense to any who have reasons to be against Mr. Foley for whatever your reasons. This is not a question of morality. By the way, since when have we found a gov't where some corruption is not uncovered? As well, is it true? Often people in high positions or fame are at most risk of scandal only so others can have advantages. I'm not judging here..sorry! Krisanne

Who cares about Mark Foley personal Life .... The Life I care about is the Haitian People back home who are suffering in misery .....
Mark Foley was trying to create a situation where our own Haitian people (Diaspora) will go back home and rebuild the country
Thank you Mark Foley for trying ... That least I could say about you (Foley) or pass judgement on you (Foley) ... You try to do for us what alot of haitian would not do for their own
Thanks for Trying
