| | La plus belle | | | | Biden's help in Haiti's environment problems Last year, I came across an article at the Washington Times, I learned what happened to Haiti's forests is one of the greatest imperialist crimes in history. It once was a lush tropical region, but the US, through power politics and lumber barons corrupting Haitian officials, so completely denuded the nation that it lost most of its productive top soil from erosion. It's one of the principal reasons why Haiti can't come even close to sustaining itself agriculturally today and the people live in grinding poverty.
Then came Senator Joseph Biden (of Delaware), in order to get rid of excess wood present in Delaware, wood that's already been cut down that they had difficulty disposing of; at the suggestion of Sen. Biden, that excess wood was exported to Haiti to be used as fuel for bakery and dry cleaning plants in an effort to stem deforestation in the Caribbean nation.
Great initiative Senator Biden!

| | | It is erroneous to think that MC Cain, Obama, or Biden will resolve our problems. It's time for us to start thinking for ourselves. We have to understand that Haiti is not a US territory.

Not saying they're not responsible but we need to look in the mirror and wonder why we allowed ourselves to be bamboozled into that positions where we are so easily victimized

I am going to rewrite my comments.
Who decide which works that have to be done in Haiti?
The Haitian Government or the NGOs?
Do you think that it is a good way to build a country?
