I read some stupid comments on Haiti in general and on Preval in
particular, but I've got to say, so far, those are about the stupidest. The murder of Lucienne Heurtelou the late president Estime's wife, was one of those events that was not only unfortunate, but also showed a society (ours
in Haiti) that simply accepts murders as fatalities instead of seriously trying to fight their causes and persecute their authors. We sometimes let our
emotions get the best of us while we look for some escape goat.
The author of the text seems to be agitating as well the color or race issue
in Haiti by brandishing the names of Petion and Dessalines. This is the kind of attitude and thoughts that put us (Haitians natives) in the precarious situation in which we are today.
