Overreacting to a situation can ruin you. Being drunk with success or sick with ambition can destroy you also. Spreading yourself too thin, or far outside of sight and arms reach leaves you open to being infiltrated and attacked.
"The mind must not wander from goal to goal, or be distracted by success from its sense of purpose and proportion." You've probably heard the saying know your past, work in your present so you can prepare for your future. If you concentrate on your past and stay coherent, a connection to the past has power. Sometimes you need to align yourself with a powerful family. Sometimes you need not to entrust your business to outsiders.
Sometime you can't even use your children or close relatives. But when you are able to use them or those who are tight enough and can be trusted enough to be like family, use them. You need a tight night family, to make you more powerful. Family, is not necessary bloodline. Family can be anyone who is ready to give you Respect, Honesty, Trust and Loyalty. In that order.
Respect out does love all day. Think about it like this, even though this is kind of off subject, but "A man/woman can love you but fuck a bitch in your bed, but if the respected you they would have at least took them to the motel." Again we only talking about the difference between love and respect, before we get all in a tiff. Okay back to the subject at hand, respect is mandatory. Respect defines and eliminates a lot of wrong doing. In other words as long as someone stays true to self they will fall victim to know one else. Thus you will not need to worry about you team mate being infiltrated. After respect come honesty. Honesty is important, because there will be times that the only thing you have to ride on, is the fact that they said to you that they are telling you the truth. And until you find out otherwise you are going to need to ride with that. The next of course is trust. When you know a person is honest with you trust will come. There is no reason for it not to. Last but not least is loyalty. This one right here is a lot. It can cost you, if you give it to the wrong person.
Respect can go to all. People must prove there honesty to get your trust, in order for you to become loyal. Do not think this is one sided. It can be in your quest for power, but you must work it to your advantage.
You must remember the more unified the family, the more tight knit the family, the more powerful you will become. And when it comes to step down or depart you do not elect one person over the other. You must give each their own specific duties and allow all to participate as they been doing when you were running things. That way, know one particular person gets a swell head.
You must be careful when it comes to expanding. Expanding can cause diffusion, division and dissension. "concentration can be a foundation of power, wealth and stability." "The best strategy is always to be very strong; first in general, then at the decisive point...There is no higher and simpler law of strategy than that of keeping one's forces concentrated...In short the first principle is : act with the utmost concentration." On War, Carl Von Clausewitz, 1780 - 1831
In tis world you find division within countries, political groups, families and even individuals. We tend to not be about to stay focused as we are pulled in all types of directions. Napoleon concentrated his forces at the enemy's weakest spot. Casanova attributed his success in life to his ability to concentrate on a single goal and push at it until it yielded. he gave himself over completely to women as they desired so he can get what he wanted. Casanova believed " that when a man gets it into his head to do something, and when he exclusively occupies himself in that design, he must succeed, whatever the difficulties. That man will become Grand Vizier or Pope." All that is to mean if you concentrate on a single goal, a single task, you will be able to beat it into submission.
Power itself is a concentrated form. you must find out who controls the operations, who is the real director behind the scenes. Do not get caught up in who you see, find out what and who you do not see. no body has seen the Bogey man but at one point for some reason people believe in his existence.
It is not to say that there are no dangers on concentration because there are. When fight you are an easier target and if you align yourself with one person and they die, leave, or fall from grace you suffer.
If you are a weaker party and need protection, you must intertwine yourself with several sources of power so if your main source leave you, you are still good.
