We have a serious shot at reaching the top 6 but we need to focus on each round.
1: Nicaragua or Netherland Antilles
Our past results against Costa Rica make us the favorites to make it through this round. Our players need to practice on focusing on their game for 90 minutes. We need full concentration for 90 minutes instead of 10 minutes of brilliance and lapses of confusion.
Group Phase
Costa Rica is expected to finish in the top 2.
We must fight against Guyana and Panama to finish in the top 2. As of now we're not ready to face these teams. If we truly prepare the team tacticaly, mentaly and we allow a gel to form between the local and foreign base players, then we'll be ready to challenge the top 2 spots of this group.
We surely have the potential to reach the top 6 but we must do our homework.
Final Phase
We will never reach there without good preparation. Amelio can do the job but needs to start training now and play enough friendlies to get the players to perform to full potential. Day and night between the team that had to go through playoffs against Bermuda in the caribbean cup and the team that eventually won the cup. I beleive in Amelio despite the Gold Cup. He will not make the same mistake twice.
An organized Haitian team can cause trouble among the best of the CONCACAF. Amelio is capable but many other factors can either enhance or hinder our chances of going to Africa. I certainly beleive that we can reach this World Cup if we put in the effort. We have to go in with full confidence but the biggest mistake we could make would be to stop trying if we don't make it in 2010. Clavijo was hired 3 months prior to the World Cup 2002 Qualifiers and managed a 1:1 draw against the USA in a friendly. Amelio's team look much improved from Clavijo's team and if we give them our support, we'll finally see what our Grenadiers can do.
I love Haiti and I hope our National Team finds the support needed.

USA lucky we didn’t beat them in that game I remember 1 minute left for the game over they score the equalize goal. This was one of the best games we played vs. USA since than they never playing with us anymore I don’t why! “As you says Pano” we can do it if we all Haitian people put together to support our country not two or three months before the qualification, we should play at least 4 to 5 friendly games before we start the qualification…And we need to act fast.
Haiti is my country I love it as well, I’ll love to see Haiti go far in this qualification also qualify for South Africa 2010 this is all Haitian dream…I always said that to my friend and my family, “if I was a millionaire or a billionaire” I was gonna make the world see our football and the country differently and have more youngster playing overseas, the more International players you have the better chance for your National Team to improved this is what we need guys.

why is it that THERE IS NO SCHEDULED GAME FOR THE TEAM.

I AM DYING TO KNOW WHY WE HAVE NOT SEEN ANY GAME GAMES IN PERSPECTIVE FOR THE TEAM. WHY? WHY? WHY?
we are the champions of the Caribbean ,we have all the cards playiong for us if we use them wisely. When you are the chanpion of your zone, you are favored for meaningfull friendlies. Why are we not making the most of all that?
I really have a hard time understanding what is wrong with us.Now we are waiting for a few months before our official games to get some games with some "I don't know what" clubs.
I love Haiti ,but I hate the level of short sightedness that plagues its leadership, particularly in football. Haiti has the potential to be the best team in concacaf.
but with that longstanding politics of low self-esteem we just can't leave to the true nature of what we call Haiti which is the bastion of geniouses.
why are we afraid to request a match with the big teams in south america ,europe, and Africa. I want to know why. Please help me to know why? if someone in the federation could help me I would be glad just to know why? please answer me.
It could be a money problem since the hff has not launched a campaign to collect funds for the team.
