Question Good university witha population of Haitians

Hi,
I'm youngster in South Florida and the time has come to start lookin at colleges. hw3 Yea, right now that's how I feel. I'm looking for a challenging school, you know, the usual good school where it takes work to get in. But most of those colleges are very... how can I put it nicely...let's just say, not very colored. I like being around my fellow educated haitians. so, if anyone has some suggestions, they are welcomed.

Colleges

hey dude,
you should try looking at Columbia University in New York. It's an Ivy league school and my brother went there. Or, if you're in Florida, try Barry University (My alma mater) or the University of Miami.
There are a few good schools out there with plenty of Black folks. You could also try looking in the Atlanta Area.
Good luck with college!
Charles

Sup,
First of all, 'dude' is not exactly what i like to be called. I'm a girl. But, thanx for your answer. You know, I was thinking of Barry but I visited one of their campuses and it was ... in between but now that you mention it, I guess I'll look into it more. UM is great, as long as I can figure out a way to pay for it. Take care,
Pam

Sorry about that, dudette!
Your nickname does not give a clue about your gender.
Take care.

Ti Creole, try the New-York area. Now if you do not like it, you can try the Washington-Baltimore area. Howard University/Morgan state University are good universities. If you want something in-between New-York-Washington-Virginia, try Philadelphia. Temple university is also OK. University of Maryland has an increase population of Blacks. The Washington DC area is very international with a lot of actions. Your weekends will not be boring.
