HOW can you make an unemployed father, an entire nation, and the entire region of South East Asia jump Together, AT THE SAME moment, in celebration?
Simple: just get the English team to win against the Argentines in a game, JUST ONE GAME, in the football World Cup.
This one precious win, wiped out all the humiliations, all the disappointments, all the frustrations, all the self doubts in every English football fans, around the world; for the several heart-breaking losses and shame the Argentines had inflicted on the English team.
99.9% of Malaysia?s population are fans of the English football team!
I wish you could see my father walking on air, right now! Something money can?t buy, and I dare say, something even our deepest love for him, cannot achieve!
I will NEVER EVER doubt the purpose of "failure" again, for it is failure that makes this one success so sweet, so enormous, so unforgettable!
