Few miles away from the South American coasts of Venezuela, there stands a

magnificent isle of sun, beaches, splendid women, handsome men, and 1.3

million smiles. The food, the music, the arts, and carnival there merit

their fame. Visit it. Visit it at carnival. Visit it any time.

The eight-member Dream Team traveled back last night from what will be,

for sure, a successful 2004 Expedition. The mood was soothed, rested,

surfeited, thankful.

In our brain was spinning Shurwayne Winchester?s winning refrain: ?Let Da

Band Coming? played 255 times at the Savannah on Tuesday. But, we were

thinking of Bahia and Recife in 2005. Departure date: Feb 2, it will be a

Wednesday.

African by heritage, Caribbean by birth, American by choice, I am a

citizen of the world. Once again, I befriended one more culture and

returned home a better human being, I hope.

I am home in Warrenville, New Jersey, back to sweet home. It is so good

to be home.
