Some body need to talk the truth to them Haitian

A country with a population nearly 8 millions where poverty is a major concern
and nobody seem to have a clear conscience about it. Why does Haiti have all
these Problems? Is it a curse or is there any other factor associated to the
problem? Well I believe education has a lot to do with Haiti?s problems. In a
country where the illiteracy rate is almost higher than the world illiteracy
combine it is a big problem that need close attention. Haiti has a literacy rate
of 53 percent.
Poverty is the second factor why the country has so many problems because more
than half of the population does not have a job. Haiti unemployment rate is
approximately 80% and when you look at the country wealth, only 1% of the
Haitian population has all the money which is concentrate in one place because
there is no investment whatsoever. All the money is concentrate in one little
corner doing nothing. How long do you think that Haiti going to take before any
changes finally take place? To me it would take forever I use the term forever
to avoid saying there will never be a change. Why? A country like Haiti who has
no international attraction like the use to have which mean isolation and the
country will sink more and more in poverty. How do they change thing if they
finally awake from their barbaric nonsense? The change begin with stability when
the country is stable foreigner or local people with money will start invest
with no fear that somebody will destroy their business. Haiti is a very
fortunate country with an excellent weather that could attract a lot of internal
investor to invest in the touristy industry if their was peace and stability
politics in the country. Haiti use to be the leader in the western hemisphere in
the tourist industry and even one time the richest country in the region. What
went wrong? Political turmoil is the major reason. Half of the Haitian elected
president never spends their full term in power. If they do not have a coup on
the government, they end up killing the elected president. The problem is from
the root of history of Haiti because the most valuable man in Haiti history was
kill by some stupid idiot since then the Haiti fallow that stupid path and the
cannot stand each other when it come to politics. Dessalines a very important
Haitian the father of the Haitian history and freedom was kill by some stupid
fellow which was not supposed to happen in that country history. As an American,
imaging some idiot kill George Washington, it would be like killing the country
spirit. The Haitian kills their own country spirit by killing Dessalines. They
have a lot to do to bring that country back on its feet. They need to learn to
leave with each other and not killing each other because they do share the same
vision. Let take a look at the United state, a country with nearly 800 millions
people where they have Three political party that oppose each other all the time
but they do not kill each other because such or such person talk bad about the
government. Investment means job creation better life and better health care in
the country. But where do we begin exactly if we really want a change for the
country? We begin by educating the Haitian in the rural area and get then to
know the importance and power of education and how education is the first tool
for an economical change. We begin by building good school all over the country
where every body will have access to a free education. We should not build the
schools only in the capital which is the situation right and it makes life so
difficult for people that live in the rural area to get an education. Right you
have to move to the capital to go to the university which is impossible for a
lot of people to make the move and the city is not capable to hold all these
people because it already saturated with people and traffic.

The root of Haitis problems

I do not profess to have all the answers to the problems Haiti faces. God only knows they are many and complex. But I do believe that the root to many of the problems Haiti faces is greed. Starting with the slave holders of the past up to the present slave holders. Haiti is plainly a pawn in a big game of chess. The poor, being manipulated and sacrificed by the economic elite, have little chance to pull themselves out of their situation. It is hard to do what you know in your heart is right, when you have an empty stomach. The rich want to stay that way and it is easy to sway a people who have nothing. I should not say nothing. I'm sorry. If not anything else, most Haitians I know have great pride. Unfortunatly, the professional players of this chess game know how to manipulate that to.

Haitian pride does not mean anything

Now it is the time for any Haitian to see the that they are playing with their country by using politics to make them destroy themself. Most of the instability in Haiti is hapenning because there 's still people who believe that Aristide will come back; come on! they need to wake from their sleep because there is no way Aristide will come back because there big invisible hand behind Aristde ousted. And again I believe there is nothing that Aristide can do for that country because he is just one man. People in that country need to unite togheter form one big block give the country a chance to have domacratics election and close the door from letting foreign country involve in making decision for them. But they really cannot do that until that country is stable, have peace, and the killing is stop.

Unhappy Ayiti

Johi, you gave us a resume of the haitian problem.
You say that it comes from a low literacy rate, a high poverty one and the fact that a small proportion of the haitians control most of the economic power.
But I think that the problem is more simple than that. It comes from our social structure : there isn't any. When you go into the "mornes" (example only) you can see that it's messed up. Families are not really family. I can't find the word to explain myself, but I think that's the real reason of what's happening today.
I wouldn't put the education as the first priority for Haiti. Restore the order and build up a social structure is far more important to my eyes.
That is one thing that Aristide did that can not be forgiven : he broke the ancient system for political reason, in order to gain control. Here I am talking about the "chefs de section". To remplace them, he put strangers, who didn't know the locality where they were working, which did that they didn't have any influence over the population. They couldn't do anything serious.
oh! By the way, USA have a population of nearly 300 million people, not 800.
* * * Edited * * *
Johi, first of all i don't agree with you about Aristide case. He is not the only reason of haiti's actual failure, but he has a great responsability in it.
He dismantled most of the organisations which ruled the haitian society in order to control it. I am not talking about the army only.
Then you are saying that he can't do anything because he "is only one man". I disagree with you again. 2 times. He can not do anything because he proved that to us : he had 14 years to do something and he didn't. I still think that someone, even on his own, can create an "impulse" that would have an impact on haiti's development.
Please could you tell me one thing ? How long ago did you leave Haïti ? It seems to me that you do not really know what's happening nowadays. You are using expressions and defending ideas that are found in newspapers.
"People in that country need to unite togheter form one big block give the country a chance to have domacratics election " ?
That an utopia. I have never heard of something like that happening except in movies.
"close the door from letting foreign country involve in making decision for them" ?
Foreign countries are now involved in Haiti's internal politic and there have been here since a long time. Lately a new US embassador has come. His name is Foley. Does it ring a bell ? He was the one representing Bill Clinton during the Yougoslavia crisis. Yeah you're right ! US bombed Yougoslavia ! He is a crisis man. (he is the white guy on the pic)
c0001
But I have to agree on your conclusion about the things that have to be done before we start working on something serious in Haiti. How would you handle a situation like the one on this picture ? yokes
Johnbrown, I think that one of Haiti's problems is abording Haiti's problems like you are actually doing it.
I mean that you are looking for the reasons that cause today's situation. You are looking for a responsible. You don't want to have the charge of this. You want us to know that you think you are not involved, or you cannot do anything.
That's a childish attitude. When you read the Bible, one of the more important message is that you have responsabilities. Wondering about who started it doesn't help.
Sorry i am not too fluent in english
