Teen Gets Marijuana Delivery, Nassau Police Say
(AP) VALLEY STREAM A Long Island teenager is under arrest after police said he accepted a package of marijuana delivered through a courier service.
Nassau County police said a DHL employee notified them about the package at a warehouse. Detectives took the package and made a controlled delivery to the North Valley Stream address on it.
They said a 17-year-old boy claimed the package was for him, signed for it and took it. So they arrested him.
Police said the package weighed at least 15 pounds.
The teen has been charged with criminal possession of marijuana. Police said he had another package of marijuana with him when he was arrested.
