Angry Audacity of kidnappers

Wow! So this kidnapping situation is still serious and anyone seems to be a target. It's very unsettling to know that even children and elderly...those of no political threat or involvement are susceptible.
I hope things will get better. It will evidently take a long time. As a white female Canadian it unnerves me....not to name myself as elite. Just the reality that I'll be a likely target if I return to see my husband in PAP. He lives in a very open spot on Canapé Vert.
I have tried to visit 2 times since my last time there in Feb. 2005. However, the gov't has banned flights on both occasions due to this situation. I think sometimes the UNs involvement is of not much help and many false promises of changing the police force and security there. Hope I haven't stepped on too many toes here.
Feel free to enlighten me on anything you feel I may be ignorant to...or please just add your comments. TY, Krisanne

Unhappy

Hello Monkina,
Yes....I posted this quite a while ago and since things are completely out of hand. This is obviously the worst state of the kidnapping situation in Haiti yet. When they go after children , not to make light of anyone's lives of course, this is extremely barbaric.
Sad to see a population doing this to their own...and yes everyone in their right minds hopes for a hero. Some kind of intervention that would finally cease hurting and killing innocent people.
