According to Radio Kiskeya, the organization The Guardian Angels are planning to go soon to Haiti to fight against the insecurity that is endemic in Haiti.

The guardians are a voluntary, weapon-free patrol of hundreds of young men and women which aims were to take the subways, the streets and the neighborhood back from crime. The accolades that followed and success of their programs only heightened the symbolism of the red beret, now a worldwide icon for safety.

The Guardian Angels also teach communities and schools to take control and responsibility of both their environment and their lives. Now their community is global as they reach citizens around the world.

As promoters of safety and empowerment, will they be able to make a difference in the country's violence. Unlike the MINUSTAH will the country, the haitian people be enjoy a safe and peaceful environment especially during this coming holidays.

We can only hope!

I wonder what Alexis and his government would say about their presence in the streets of Port-au-Prince.

This is more symbolic than anything else, and somehow hilarious. What can they do bare hands against well armed alexis sponsored gangs?

Not one Haitian will volunteer in that suicidal stance.

Yeah they probably intend to go spend some vacation there and make some publicity around it.
