Spirit Airlines announces nonstop service between Atlantic City and Las Vegas beginning May 3, 2007
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.- February 14, 2007 - .
In addition, Spirit will also resume seasonal connecting service through Detroit to Las Vegas, Los Angeles and San Francisco on May 1, 2007. Spirit serves all routes with its fleet of Airbus aircraft, the youngest in the Americas.
"We are thrilled to be able to offer our loyal customers in Atlantic City this nonstop option to fly to one of the top destinations in the world," said Barry Biffle, Spirit's Chief Marketing Officer. "With the return of our seasonal Detroit service, customers will have even more flight choices to get to the west coast. This is one sweet deal and you can bet that customers will enjoy our low fares and fantastic service on this nonstop route!"
"This new direct nonstop flight is exciting news for the Atlantic City market and for the Las Vegas market, pairing these two entertainment and convention cities is a win-win for everyone and underscores the vitality of our region," said Bart R. Mueller, Executive Director of the South Jersey Transportation Authority. "Spirit Airlines is offering Atlantic City the same opportunity as the metro airports in providing flights to and from the most desired travel destinations."
"The investments we are making continue to pay off in a big way for southern New Jersey travelers who will now have a greater choice of nonstop service from Atlantic City than ever before," said SJTA Chairman Frank Spencer, noting that the airport is in the midst of a major expansion and renovation program that has dramatically expanded parking and other customer amenities. "The pairing of these two extremely popular destinations is a sure bet for our market," added Spencer.
"Considering the casino operators have exceptional facilities in both destinations, this nonstop service will benefit inbound visitors offering them Vegas with an Ocean View and provide convenient business travel between the two popular entertainment and convention cities," stated Joe Kelly, President of the Atlantic City Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Introductory coach fares on nonstop flights between Atlantic City and Las Vegas start at $79 each way(1) when purchased at spiritair.com by February 28, 2007 for travel on select days. Spirit Airlines recently announced new service to Aguadilla, Puerto Rico; Port-au-Prince, Haiti and St. Maarten, Netherlands Antilles. Spirit also recently announced plans for new service to Caracas, Venezuela.

NY Haitian in Metropolitan area (New York, New Jersey and Philadelphia) could take a flight from Atlantic City to Ft Lauderdale and a connecting flight to Haiti
