It is highly probable that the next title defense of WBC jr flyweight champion Edgar Sosa will be in Haiti against Carlos Melo of Panama in the second week of March, informed Sosa's promoter/manager Jacques Deschamps -- the first time ever that a title fight would be held in the Caribbean nation. Says Deschamps, "It would be a momentus event here and we are working on 'concretizing' the project. We hope to be able to use on that card a group of Haitian-origin boxers from Canada and the United States." For the ever-active Sosa, it would be his fourth title defense in a span of eight months.
