LAW 9
WIN THROUGH YOUR ACTIONS, NEVER THROUGH ARGUMENT
You know, with a majority of us, when we believe that we are right, you can't tell us nothing. We don't want to hear it. It's like, you can't convince us, and your talking for nothing.
The way to get to some people like us........Indirectness and through actions. With these two things, "no one is offended, and your point is proven."
"In the realm of power you must learn to judge your moves by their long term effects on other people. The problem in trying to prove a point or gain a victory through an argument, is that in the end you can never be certain how it affects s the people you're arguing with"
You don't want a person to agree with you just in order to done the argument. Because in cases like that usually the person holds it in their heart for you. They may even resent you. They possibly could have gotten offended by you, during the posses of the argument. God forbid, if you made them feel insecure.
Don't forget that at times, in the heat of an argument, we can say things that will hurt ones feelings. We tend to say things that may even be exaggerated, just to prove our point. So to avoid all that, if possible, no one can argue with a demonstrated proof. As Baltasar Gracian remarks, "The truth is generally seen, rarely heard."
When one demonstrates an idea it disarms your opponent, leaving them open to persuasion. Demonstration thus becomes the indirect route. Verbal argument at times is viewed as a distraction but can be used to "cover your tracks when practicing deception or you are caught in a lie." When caught in a lie, the more emotional and certain you appear, the less likely it seems that you are lying.
Unless, they know your M O.
