LAW 34 BE ROYAL IN YOUR OWN FASHION: ACT LIKE A KING TO BE TREATED LIKE ONE
There are times that people are given things instead of inherited. Some things need to be in the blood. Somethings, one needed to be raised in it in order to be refined by it. I never understood the term or old money and new money. People with old money, have the benefit and perks as a part of their environment. Certain things just become second nature. There is just a certain refinement with old money that it takes a person with new money to work at. Either way a person must learn their place and position and live to it. No more, no less. Old money has nothing to prove, they are already established. People have certain expectations, goals, and objectives with their roles that must, must, must be played out. You can not always treat people as an equivalent. Depending on your stature, that can very well be a problem. In all actuality, treating some like an equivalent, you are actually treating another as an inferior.

Sometimes, by asking for the moon, you automatically raise your status, because many will believe the only way that you could have the nerve to ask for something like that is if you are worth it. You must know how to sell yourself. You have to be able to charm and carry yourself well. You must have a sense of confidence and ability to be aggressive at times, but also know how to be quiet and calm with a re-assurance.

As kids, we expect a lot, we demand a lot. But as we get older and go through things, as we experience failures we begin to set up boundaries, expect less, create more self-imposed limitations, apologize just for the sake of and bow down to the simplest request. If you feel into this rut you must get out. You must believe that you are destine for great things. You must feel no limitation. You must demand and expect more. Act in the position that you want to be treated. For certain positions, you must act differently and even distance yourself from some of the people around you. Always act with dignity, no matter what the circumstance. Raise your bar. David chose Goliath to slay, so "choose a great opponent, you create the appearance of greatness."
People will respect you for your confidence, and believe respect goes a long way, it will go farther than you can ever imagine.
"Image: The Crown. Place it upon your head and you assume a different pose-tranquil yet radiating assurance. Never show doubt, never lose your dignity beneath the crown, or it will not fit. It will seem to be destined for one more worthy. Do no wait for a coronation; the greatest emperors crown themselves."
"Authority: Everyone should be royal after his own fashion. Let all your actions, even though they are not those of a king, be, in their own sphere, worthy of one. Be sublime in your deeds, lofty in your thoughts; and in all your doings show that you deserve to be a king even though you are not one in reality. (Baltasar Gracian, 1601-1658)
Never make the mistake of thinking that you elevate yourself by humiliating people. Humble yourself, there will always be people more vulgar than you, and you can easily be replaced.
