Group B of the Caribbean Zone/CONCACAF Gold Cup qualifying tournament
Thirteen of Jamaica?s 18 member national women?s senior football squad departs Monday afternoon for Trinidad and Tobago to contest Group B of the Caribbean Zone/CONCACAF Gold Cup qualifying tournament from Wednesday through Sunday.
the Girlz now turn their attentions to the second round of qualification which will run from the
September 6-10. Jamaica have now been placed in Group B along with Bermuda and Haiti, while the Dominican Republic, Suriname and Trinidad and Tobago have been placed in Group A.
At the Gold Cup tournament, The winners will progress to the 2006 CONCACAF Women's Gold Cup along with Canada, Mexico, Panama and hosts U.S.A. for the November tournament. The U.S.A. and Canada received byes to the tournament after contesting the final of the 2002 Gold Cup.
