Il y a déjà 200 ans de cela que des hommes et des femmes arrachés à l?Afrique ont défait en bataille l?armée impériale de Napoléon Bonaparte. Ce fut en Amérique, le tout premier renversement du régime combien odieux de l?esclavage racial. Ces Africains de l?île d?Haiti se sont par surcoit créé, en plein hémisphère occidental, le premier état Nègre indépendant, la République d?Haiti!!!!

Dans le cadre des commémorations internationales du bicentenaire de la Révolution haitienne,Pwodiksyon Jafrikayiti vous convie cordialement à une soirée de célébration et de réflexion autour de l?importance morale, politique et historique des évènements du 18 novembre 1803.

«la victoire en 1804 des esclaves Africains d?Haiti se situe en ligne directe avec la victoire remportée en 1994, par l?Africain opprimé en Afrique du Sud. Nous nous devons de travailler coudes à coudes afin de célébrer comme se doit ces deux anniversaires», propos tenus par son excellence Thabo Mbeki, President de l?Afrique du Sud, lors d?un récent discours prononcé à Kingston, Jamaique.

Ce 18 novembre 2003, Jafrikayiti présentera "Orijin Pèp Ayisyen", le premier d'une série audio racontant l'épopée du peuple Haitien "Lafimen: Listwa Pèp Ayisyen Depi Nan Ginen".

En cette même occasion, le livre "Dessalines-Ville: capitale impériale de la planète terre 1503-2003 et 1803-2003" fera l'objet d'une présentation spéciale par son auteur le philosophe Wéber Tiécoura Jean-Baptiste.

Two hundred years ago, African men and women in Haiti defeated Napoleon Bonaparte?s imperial army and overthrew a most barbaric system of racial slavery, thus creating the first independent state of African people in the Western Hemisphere !

As part of the global celebrations commemorating the 200th anniversary of the Haitian Revolution,Pwodiksyon Jafrikayiti invites you to an evening of meditation and deep reflexion on the moral, political and historical importance of these events which unfolded on novembre 18th 1803.

?The victory of the African slaves in Haiti in 1804 is directly linked to the victory of the African oppressed in South Africa in 1994, we should work together to celebrate in an appropriate manner both anniversaries?

said His Excellency Thabo Mbeki, President of South Africa in a recent speech delivered in Kingston, Jamaica.

In this occasion, author Jafrikayiti will present "Orijin Pèp Ayisyen", the first of a series of audio recordings in Haitian Kreyòl which narrates the epic of the Haitian people "Lafimen: Listwa Pèp Ayisyen Depi Nan Ginen".

By the same occasion, "Dessalines-Ville: capitale impériale de la planète terre 1503-2003 et 1803-2003" will be the object of a very special presentation by author Wéber Tiécoura Jean-Baptiste.
