news Iraqi women: Prostituting ourselves to feed our children

BAGHDAD, Iraq (CNN) -- The women are too afraid and ashamed to show their faces or have their real names used. They have been driven to sell their bodies to put food on the table for their children -- for as little as $8 a day.
"People shouldn't criticize women, or talk badly about them,"...

Enfin, those are the views of people with a short vision.
this is what the media is showing now a day, but believe it life was no better before
I wanted to add that during Saddham, women did not have to prostitute themselves. They were being raped, a favorite pastime instituted by one of Saddham's sons himself
The situation is too complex in Iraq to put the blame on someone. If the media was pumping every day those news of abuses from Iraq before the war, you would have been the first one to cry horror, do something!!

So wouldn't be fair not to look at them without putting some blame on them.
Perhaps Bush and Cheney should have never invaded Iraq, but there again same people writing here whould have qualified them all names for not doing anything against Saddham's murderous spree TERRITORIALLY and NATIONALLY.
You're damn if you do and you'r damn if you don't.
About time we start shifting blames where it supposed to be shifted. I say, those Iraquis bear all the blame.
You sir have issues.
Sure Saddam should not have invaded Kuwait but once he was kicked out of there they should not have had all these tough sanctions on the damn country because you hate its leader. All the sudden you have an entire nation suffering because of its leader's mistake and you putting an embargo on them is making the situation worse.
Restrict their ability to rearm themselves but dont stop their economic growth. And that is what this is about. Their economy is in ruin so therefore these mothers do the unthinkable to feed their children.
Then Comes the Bush and Dick bombing the country setting them even further back. Now not only must they deal with the economic problems they already had but all the sudden a civil war breaks out where different sect that Saddam was able to keep in check are killing eachother.
Now are you keeping score? Let's add them up shall we;
Already having economic issues because of they imposed sanctions that were too tough.
Get bombed and most of your infrastructure is in ruins
Get your dignity taken away because G.I.'s must now search your ass everywhere you go.
Now you have a civil war on your hands.
yeah you're right. Bush/the U.S. have nothing to do with this

in order to understand my point, you would need to have some finesse and some notion of world economy, oil prices, recession and a madman that cannot be controlled and proved to be a major destabilizer.
No one wants to see 20.00 at the gaz station. The Iraqis had a problem, we had one. Now the Iraqis need to figure it out themselves. We offered to help, they prefer to bomb themselves.
Since you seem to lack those, I will confine my answer to below.

and how do you propose to do that without troops when he is evading inspections?

I guess for you it was ok to be systematically raped.

This is Iraq. Would have happened no matter what. And you know what? Perhaps the American presence is making it lesser than it could be.
yeah you're right. Bush/the U.S. have nothing to do with this

When it was all said and done they found NOTHING. And from where he was how was Saddam affecting Gas prices at the time that W and Dickie decided he was deepthroating AlQaida? I dont recall this gas being so high before he got dethroned either. Let me knoe is i missed something

had we kept our nose out of it it would not have been our problem now would it. Now we in it knee deep and bitching about why they cant handle it or as you said "figure it out for themselves"?
LMAO
Sorry junior. I find this administration disgusting for the way they are wasting human lives in a war they should not have been in in the first place. I have a lot of friends in the millitary that are either dead or waiting to be dead in this bullshit. Thank God i got out this b!tch right on time.
Anyway, lets just leave it at that because you're not going to say anything that i havent heard before and we're not going to agree. I have to go home now.
Peace

That's really sad...
Et c'est encore plus triste de voir que Tilezanj ne réagit pas du tout à cette horreur et qu'il préfère s'occuper d'autre chose...
Peut-on penser qu'il aurait été un des premiers clients ?
