In an effort to develop relationships with other Florida based teams Coach Gino Felix of Haitians United FC traveled to Bradenton on Sunday, March 5th 2006 to play a friendly match against Haitians of Bradenton FC. According to Coach Felix this match served two purpose. The first is to prepare the team for their 1/4 final clash against Bosna next Sunday and the second is to create a network with other local teams in the area.
The team has established contact with a Tampa based Jamaican team named Caribbean Lions FC and plans to travel to Orlando for friendly games. In their first friendly United defeated Bradenton by 3 goals to 1. United will also look to establish contact with Miami based Haitian teams and hope to enter the next edition of the Madame Gougousse Cup.
