Miami FC Wins in Dramatic Fashion

May 14, 2006-Miami, FL- Miami FC earned their second victory in the USL First Division, and their second win in a row this weekend with a win over the Atlanta Silverbacks 1-0, with a glorious last minute goal.

Miami FC continues to improve game after game and earned 7 of their last 9 possible points, immediately rising in the USL Standings.

The Silverbacks showed a defensive attitude since the first minute of the game, with hopes of a tie with the South Floridian squad. Regardless, Miami FC created many scoring opportunities throughout the game. In the first half, Romario missed the best chance when he faced goalkeeper Felipe Quintero one-on-one, and couldn?t beat him.

The second half was full of opportunities that Miami FC could not capitalize on. Romario missed another chance from the left wing, sending the ball over the crossbar, and afterwards, Atlanta?s goalkeeper pulled another great save on a shot by Diego Walsh.

But in the 92nd minute of play a great cross by Zinho was converted by Colombian Oscar Gil. One more time, Miami FC wins in dramatic fashion and gets their sixth point in less than 48 hours.
