Ex-Metros coach Parreira could land there

Former national team coaches don't fade away after getting fired or stepping down. They just move on to their next job.
Take, for instance, the case of former Brazil coach Carlos Alberto Parreira.
Only a day after he quit as coach of the underachieving Brazilian side at this year's World Cup, the former Meis considering taking the job of South Africa coach. South Africa will host the 2010 World CuptroStars coach .
"The business with South Africa is serious, very serious," Parreira was quoted the O Estado newspaper Thursday.
He said that he could start as early as next year.
The Brazilians were eliminated in the quarterfinals by France, 1-0, ending a disappointing World Cup for the defending champions.
Parreira coached the Metros in 1997 as they failed to reach the playoffs for the first time in their 11-year history.
