Can we make it to South Africa in 2010?

With their continued investments and growth USA and Mexico will battle for 1st place in the CONCACAF again.
1. Mexico
2. USA
Then Costa Rica should be 3rd but could be challenged. So the 3rd place and 4th place playoff (with Asia) will be fought by the following teams.
Costa Rica
Honduras
Canada
Jamaica
Guatemala
Trinidad & Tobago
Haiti
Panama
El Salvador
Those teams all have an equal shot at reaching the World Cup 2010. With good preparations, planning, coaching and management Haiti could win at least the 4th Place Playoff spot.

Cool

I could not find the Article in Concacaf.com, but the 4th place from Concacaf will be playing the 5th place from South America from now on! So instead of playing Barhain, it will more likely be Uruguay!
I do think that Haiti can make it to Africa 2010! It will take a lot work, but it is possible. We have the talent, we just need the proper financial support and preparation. This current team I believe is 3 or 4 players away from being good enough to make it. I think we are ok up front. Our biggest challenge is Denfense. Bruny is a master but he needs some support. He will of course have J Jacques, but we need at least one world class outside back. Our goalie could be better. I am guessing he is the best Haiti right now, but he is just not confident enough back there. Some of his decisions are questionnable. In midfield, I think we can use one or two world class midfielders.
I am very happy that Haiti is in contention right now for 2 youth World Cup appearances, The Caribbean Cup and the Club Championship. The rest of Concacaf need to get used to hearing about and seeing Haitian football! It is going to take some time, but we can get back to the position we once held in Concacaf. The only thing these other countries have on us is support an exposure. We have the talent!
The 74 team did not get to the World Cup by accident. In 1970 they finished 2nd behind Mexico. The team was flown to Mexico to see what they were missing out on and started preparing for 74 right away. While that team had talent, it also had financial support.
We are on the right path! We can win the Digicel Cup!

Haiti's performance depends greatly on having a real coach. The current NT Senior coach has proven to me that he's a good coach unlike the U-20 Coach. The question is, how long will the FHF have him under contract? If he sticks around, through the Gold Cup, schedule competitive friendlies afterwards and take us into the World Cup 2010 Qualifiers, we'll have a real shot at Qualifying.
Jamaica has made a strong move for that 3rd or 4th place by signing Coach Bora. He has a very high chance of getting them to the World Cup.
