The coach played the bench against Trinidad and I think it was a good strategy:
1) Starters are rested,
2) Bruny, our best defender has more time to recover from a slight injury,
3) lowered the risk of yellow and red cards, suspensions for our players
4) Win or lose this game we would still end up in the semifinals
5) Playing the bench is good for overall morale despite the lost, the entire selection played.
The match that counts will be against Guadeloupe. We'll have a rested first team and a bench that had an opportunity to learn from their experience against T&T.
FIFA World Cup standing is meaningless, preserving your best shot for the Semifinals of the Digicel Caribbean Cup is a lot smarter.
